Job Overview
A large tertiary care hospital in upstate New York is seeking a licensed X-Ray Technologist to join its radiology team. This role supports diagnostic imaging services across multiple departments, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality
Maintain compliance with radiation protection standards and hospital policies
Accurately document procedures and patient information
Collaborate with radiologists, cardiology teams, and other healthcare professionals
Provide weekend coverage and on-call support as required
Schedule & Call Requirements
Weekend coverage as needed
On-call rotation: 3 weeks of night call (average of 3 call-ins per month)
Flex agency assignments up to 3 times during the length of the contract
Minimum Qualifications
Active Radiologic Technologist license required upon start
ARRT Certification required
BLS Certification required
Traveler & Candidate Requirements
Local candidates accepted if residing more than a 75-mile radius from the facility
First-time travelers accepted
