Job Summary Works with the Radiologists and other personnel to perform technical procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Coordinates with other departments the day-to-day activity for MRI safety and procedures.
Responsibilities - Communication Skills: Maintains and promotes open communication with Staff, Physicians and Customers. Uses effective communication techniques and skills to provide procedure explanation and or MRI education/safety to patients and significant others.
- Patient Billing: Ensures proper and fair charging of patient procedures in compliance with Model Compliance and Ethical guidelines.
- Follows proper protocol for the use, care, maintenance and cleanliness of the MRI and auxiliary equipment.
- Documents/Takes history and assure patient has met all safety requirements before entering MRI suite.
- Performs diagnostic procedures, present completed examination to the Radiologist and communicate any pertinent data to the patient or the persons responsible for the continued care of the patient.
- Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications - Minimum Requirements
- Education: Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- Experience: Prior general radiology experience or prior MRI hospital experience, 1 year experience
- Licensure/Certifications: Current Certification for ARRT, MRTBE, ARDMS, JRCNMT, NMTCB or ARMRIT. CPR.
- Special Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
- Preferred Requirements
- Experience: Three years MRI hospital experience
