Travel X-Ray Technologist – Weekends
Location: New York
Pay: $2,200 – $2,500 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Schedule:
Friday: 10:30 AM – 12:00 AM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Sunday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
36 hours preferred (40 hours may be considered)
On-call, callback, and holidays required per unit needs
2–3 call shifts per month
Must be able to report within 30 minutes when on call
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a weekend-focused assignment in a high-acuity setting. The ideal candidate will have recent OR experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, Level 1 trauma environment.
Responsibilities:
Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to imaging procedures
Perform radiographic imaging of bones, tissues, and organs
Explain procedures and answer patient questions
Properly position patients, including those with limited mobility
Operate radiologic equipment safely while minimizing radiation exposure
Monitor patient condition and adapt care to age-specific needs
Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
Report malfunctioning or damaged equipment
Utilize electronic systems to verify patient and exam details
Maintain accurate records and ensure images are correctly uploaded to PACS
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT Certification (required)
Active New York State license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience
Recent OR experience required
Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Experience using C-arm and/or O-arm within the last 8 months
Ability to lift/move patients and stand for extended periods
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Certifications:
BLS (required)
