- Monday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
- Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in New York, NY. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, adherence to radiation protection standards, and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities - Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare and educate patients prior to imaging procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Accurately position patients and adjust imaging equipment for optimal results
- Apply radiation safety protocols, including shielding and exposure control
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Review and evaluate radiographic images for diagnostic quality
- Document patient information and imaging results in electronic medical records
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain adequate inventory of radiology supplies
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support patient care
- Stay current with continuing education and maintain professional competency
- Follow all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist (preferred)
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.) – Required
- ARRT Certification – Required
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program – Required
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken, written, and reading) required
