Job Summary

The Marketing Manager will play an important role in supporting Tenet’s consumer-focused marketing organization. This position will successfully execute local marketing plans that drive growth for the market/hospitals, drive community engagement, elevate the brand, and effectively communicate the value proposition of the hospitals. Reporting to the Group Marketing Director with the strong day-to-day interactions with hospital leadership team, home office team, and communications team, the marketing manager will primarily focus on implementing marketing activities in the community and at the hospital that support service line growth and elevate the brand. This position will lead execution of all consumer-led community events, community partnerships, and organic social media posts. He/she will also execute local elements of the enterprise integrated marketing campaigns. The manager will build trusting and collaborative relationships with internal and external teams and astutely represent the hospital/market in establishing and maintaining effective community engagement within the framework and vision of the Tenet Vital Marketing Team.
Responsibilities
General Functions:
• Executes local campaigns that support growth initiatives for the market and drive qualified leads.
• Activates and localizes home office led marketing plans and amplifies plans through local consumer engagement.
• Plans, implements, and measures execution of all marketing activation including community events, seminars, grassroots events, physician activation, and social media.
• For social media, partners with home office team to develop an organic social content calendar following branding and enterprise toolkits. Collaborates with local teams including recruitment to ensure that all stakeholder needs are represented in social media messaging. Focuses on driving engagement rate for social channels and highlighting positive stories.
• Develops a local strategy for community engagement and flawlessly executes events with the goal of driving qualified leads and increasing brand health. The strategy includes social media support. Drives the process of including physicians in community events. Community engagement efforts can include seminars/screenings/events/sponsorships.
• Champions home office led media and creative planning and focused on driving qualified leads by localizing plans and executing community events.
• Seeks information and operates at a level of constant inquiry about business priorities and key initiatives that can further differentiate the hospital within the market. Acts as a “reporter” working to identify and translate the marketing activation “stories of success”
• Proactively develops quarterly recaps of key learnings and communicates upcoming activities to hospital leadership and home office leadership team.
• Maintains a collaborative working relationship with hospital, physician teams, marketing and communication teams.
• Supports the Group Marketing Director in executing marketing tactics and creative needs to support media plan.
• Collaborates with the market team to implement marketing programs that offer key differentiators based on quality, service and/or outcomes, have measurable ROI and build better hospital/market brands through consistent messaging, differentiated value propositions and brand positioning within the market
• Effectively engages with the community and key stakeholders for the purpose of building and enhancing the brand in the marketplace and translating the vision and mission of the hospital/health system including covering key events and programs and executing the localized social media plan.
• Supports integration efforts across physician marketing and business development teams to support service line growth.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, business or health related field is required
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Advanced degree in business or public sector equivalent, marketing/communications, or health related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of demonstrated progressive experience and responsibility for marketing, brand management, event activation, social media and public relations with a strong understanding of the business needs and competitive challenges of the industry
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Healthcare industry.
