Job Summary
The CT Tech operates CT equipment to perform a variety of imaging studies as indicated by established protocols and manufacturer specifications. Obtains optimum diagnostic CT imaging following ALARA principals. Prepares rooms, supplies and equipment for patient usage. Prepares timely documentation in Cerner and PACS. Attends to direct and indirect patient care needs to ensure successful completion of requested imaging studies. Rotates call schedule as needed. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Responsibilities - Performs a variety of diagnostic CT procedures.
- Maintains equipment and utilizes protective devices to insure patient and employee safety.
- Organizes work area and maintains supplies.
- Assures correct patient information on requests, reports and PACS.
Qualifications Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologists
Licenses, Certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologists, State of Florida (HRS)
- ARRT CT certification
- Current CPR (BCLS) certification
Minimum Experience
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT certification.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting performing CT and radiography imaging procedures.
