Position Summary:
Performs diagnostic MRI examinations, following radiologist’ protocols, for evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Provides radiologist with pertinent clinical information. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of MRI scanner and related equipment. Performs routine protocols and positions patients correctly using appropriate coils. Participates in the quality, process and performance improvement initiatives as requested. Performs timely documentation in radiology computer systems. Meets departmental performance expectations and Customer Service Standards of Excellence
Responsibilities - Evaluates Imaging services of all modalities and maintains standards of quality set forth by the Imaging Department and departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs a variety of MRI procedures which produce diagnostic quality exam according to department policy
- Administers intravenous injections according to policy and procedures of the department
- Provides leadership and supports interdepartmental teamwork set forth by the Imaging Director
- Meets the physical and mental needs of the patient during examinations.
Qualifications EDUCATION:
Graduate of accredited program in radiologic technology
Associate's Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
2 years experience in MRI preferred
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
ARRT registered and certified in MRI within 1 year of hire into the position.
Florida license
American Heart Association BLS certification
